Perfume: L'Oréal takes a license with the US brand Proenza Schouler

(AFP) - The L'Oréal Group, the world leader in cosmetics, announced Wednesday the signing of a license agreement with the American brand of women's ready-to-wear Proenza Schouler for creating and luxury perfumes development .
Proenza Schouler, founded in 2002 and based in New York, is "considered one of American fashion brands most prominent," said L'Oreal in a statement.
"Their creativity will bring to L'Oréal Luxe the perfect complement to its portfolio of iconic perfume brands," commented the CEO selective Divisions of L'Oréal, Nicolas Hieronimus, said in the statement.
L'Oréal Luxe already has in its brands of designer perfumes Cacharel Diesel, Maison Margiela and Victor & Rolf.
Proenza Schouler has 10 main stores and more than 100 outlets in more than 20 countries. The brand launched a line of handbags in 2008 and signed a license agreement for the production and distribution of a chaussuers collection in 2012.
