
While anti-complex campaigns Dove and "I'm No Angel" Lane Bryant - against the dictates of thinness and beauty imposed by including Victoria's Secret - continue to make the buzz on the web, a survey shows that round affirm the need to see women like themselves in the media. One thing that would allow them to be less complexed (69%).
Little interest for plans
An overwhelming majority of respondents (81%) consider the schemes as useless. Not surprising when you consider that almost half of women surveyed (45.5%) have more than five failed schemes to their credit.
Almost all of the respondents (96%) and declared no longer believe in commercials, jingles and other promises relayed in the media to make them thinner. Paradoxically, they are 62% think that a diet will help them feel better about themselves.
As such, participants claim to have primarily been a plan to be able to dress as they wish (67%), their health (65%) and because they delight (52%).
The ordeal of the bikini
As summer fast approaching, most respondents (59%) admit that get in swimsuit is a real test, and 19% even state that it is impossible. The cause? The look of others (47%) and the complex of the respondents (41%).
Fortunately, almost two thirds of respondents (65%) say they do not refrain from enjoying the beach or pool because of their curves.
This survey was conducted online on the Facebook page of Ma-Grande-Taille.com between 3 and 13 last April, with 1,221 fans of the page, and members of the website community.
